Description
This heavy 14-gauge wok is an easy and fun to use. The natural, blond, wooden handle and side spool handle allows the cook full command of the wok. The flat bottom wok is designed to sit directly on an electric stove to take advantage of all the heat. Wok cooking is done with high heat. The flat bottom wok also works very efficiently on a gas stove. If cooking with gas, the same wok is available in round bottom. Wok measures 4" in depth. Cooking recommendations: 12" for up to 5 people, 14" for 6 to 12 people, and 16" for over 12 people. Must be seasoned.

Seasoned the wok at 425 degrees for 20 minutes in the oven per the video from the Wok Shop. I did it 3 times in the oven. The pictures show the wok out of the oven. Cooking with chives and garlic to get rid of the metal taste. The picture with the dark center is after the chives were cooked. Seasoning it in the oven gives it a lacquer like finish. Very pleased with the performance of the wok. Highly recommend this wok if the proper procedures are used. This is carbon steel and could easily rust if not maintained properly. After washing with water I dried it with a towel. It next went onto my gas stove until all the water was gone. I let it cool, then put a small amount of peanut oil on a lint free paper towel and wiped the inside and outside of the wok. It was then buffed with the dry section of the towel. I have a silky smooth surface. ?
