These spatulas are great for getting to the H e bottom of a large baked bean recipeThey look very nice. Have only used the spoon so far.Time will tell.Bought these Bamboo Spatulas to use in my new stainless nickel-free cookware (HomiChef), and we are extremely pleased with them. They are heavier and of much better quality than my old wooden spoons and spatulas. Good find!These Utensils are nice and study but use a soft cloth when you wash them as they splinter with a sponge or scrubberSturdy handle but the scraping edge started chipping off...These are very sturdy and easy to use and clean.These utensils are quite pretty apart from being a must have in the kitchen if you happen to do your own cooking.Made from hard teak wood with a layer of waterproofing lacquer they stand up to your normal sifting, mixing, pressing or separating of your ingredients wether you're preparing solid or soft foods.It's great for soups and sauces too.The whole set comes with a stylish matching storage cup and a old style rope lanyard to hang them on a kitchen hook it you prefer to store on the wall or counter top.The cup has 3 holes drilled in the bottom for proper drainage ?So far I've used them for 6 months and no signs of wear yet and I've made hundreds of meals using them....clean up is a breeze thanks to the lacquer finish, I just soak them in warm water with soap and then just rinse....easy?I hope to make many more meals with these, they're my kind of item.....5-stars !This spatula set has become the favorites in our house. Works so well with our cookwear plus they have a nice weight and size to them. The leading edge of both have a nice bevel to it, perfect for scraping and flipping. The only criticism I can give is very minor and it’s that the slotted one is sometimes a little harder to clean after using with certain foods… nothing unusual for a slotted utensil.Hope this is a helpful review for your purchase decisions.The description clearly mentions these wooden utensils are made from 100% teak. They arrived and I opened the packaging only to find that they're actually bamboo. Bamboo is a terrible wood for anything bigger than a small disposable object I.E a toothpick or picnic cutlery set that wears down fast and doesn't hold form under duress - it's like pine, cheap and fast growing, but even worse.Classic bait and switch, and I fell for it. A quick skim over the description, had I read down the full page or looked at other user reviews I would have seen the item used to be made from 100% teak but at some point got swapped out for bamboo and the upper part of the page wasn't changed to reflect that.Annoying, but too much hassle to send them back for a refund. I guess I'll throw them in someones stocking for next Christmas.Watch out if you're looking for something made of teak!The items are nice in the hand, lightweight and feel strong. They are head-heavy too which is good as it stops them from falling out of the pan! We have them for about a month now.My only issue is that I left one unattended for 2-3mins in a medium heat pan, and the tip of it has burnt black. Completely my own fault, but a metal/thermal plastic spatula wouldn't have had the same issue. I can only assume that with use over time this will happen to most of them.Very robust and well designed. Ideal for using when cooking in non-stick pans. Clean very easily. Hold up well in dishwasher. Do not crack or warp like other products. Definitely would recommend.I absolutely love these, they look stunning and I love the slight colour differences, it really adds to the natural product. They are great to use and feel lovely, they wash up very well.These utensils have an expensive feel to them. Lovely smooth wood, sturdy and easy to clean. Would recommend.
